Death of Bookstores (Instead of Salesmen)
by Alex Andy Phuong

Death of a Salesman remains a classic as it shatters the idealism associated with "The American Dream."

However, sometimes readers (and people in a general sense) hate books so much that they would refuse to read, burn books (like in Ray Bradbury's Fahrenheit 451) via pyromania, or a bizarre combination of both.

Marilyn Monroe remains a Hollywood sex symbol, but some might not know that she and Arthur Miller were married for five years.

Since then, bookstores like Borders have closed down, and Barnes and Noble is slowly losing business to people wanting to buy books via Amazon.

Many people do not even read at all...EVER!

And a lot of people who DO read would rather use Kindles rather than walking around with print copies of books.

Johannes Gutenberg might have invented the printing press, but sadly, books really are becoming obsolete.

Little children might have been taught to, "Don't judge a book by its cover"...

...but nowadays, especially in 2020...

Many kids would ask, "What's a book?"

Many people might not have even heard of (or even read/watched) Death of a Salesman.

They might know about the whale from Free Willy and "Willy Wonka," but when asked if they know about "Willy Loman," some might say, "Wha?"

"Willy" is also a slang term for *end of this short humour story.*  ;)
