Next Minions
Movie Announced: Minions & Speech Therapists
by Maury Levine
HOLLYWOOD, CA
- Following the success of Minions & Monsters,
Illumination Entertainment has announced the next
movie in the Minions franchise. Coming in 2029 -
Minions & Speech Therapists!
Here's the Official Synopsis: Evil animator Walt
CGI (Jack Black) kidnaps the Minions in order to
promote his own cartoon characters, Little Yellow
Funnies. CGI teams with a corrupt speech therapy
practice lead by Dr. Tongue (Brian Baumgartner).
CGI's plan is to force the Minions to take speech
therapy lessons, believing that if they start
speaking correctly they will become unpopular.
After the Minions fade into obscurity, CGI's
Little Yellow Funnies would rule the Animation
Universe.
Things don't go as planned. The Minions goofball
antics and charming gibberish cause the speech
therapists to begin speaking like the Minions.
The speech therapists proceed to teach the Minion
language to all of their patients and the Minion
language spreads throughout the world.
Frustrated that their plan is failing, Walt CGI
and Dr. Tongue team with the Queen of Pig Latin (Cameron
Diaz) in an all out battle to defeat the Minions,
make Pig Latin the new world language, and place
the Little Yellow Funnies in command of the
Animation Universe. Who will win the Battle of
Yellow Characters? Who will rule the Animation
Universe? How much Minions merchandise will be
sold?
Minions & Speech Therapists will feature an
all-star voice cast, including Eddie Murphy, Rob
Gronkowski, Eugene Levy, John Cena, and Kevin
Hart as the Little Yellow Funnies. It will be
directed by M. Night Shyamalan, with an original
score by Danny Elfman and new songs by Lin Manuel
Miranda and Smashmouth. Minions & Speech
Therapists promises lots of yellow fun for movie
goers of all ages, especially if "all ages"
is defined as kids between six and ten. Advanced
tickets are on sale now in the Wendy's app.
