She Really Remembered Me
by Zvi A. Sesling

At the fiftieth high school reunion they trotted out Old Lady Pogash.

I said to her, “ I know I am not supposed to ask a lady her age, but how old are you? “

She glared at me and said, “No, you are not supposed to ask, but I am one hundred and two.”

I responded with a straight face, ‘Not possible you were 102 when I had you for Senior English.”

She pointed her crooked finger at me and said sternly, “You always were my most obnoxious student.”

Then I knew she really remembered me.
