Two Songs About Two Former Co-Workers
by William P Adams

The Shatta Hootie Show Theme Song
(fast and bouncy allegro in the key of C)

Verse One

It’s the Shatta Hootie Show
And Shatta Hootie, don't you know
Is a second banana like William B
And he defers to Shagga Tee
In everything and every way
His catchphrase is “I’ll be right back”
And Shatta Hootie has the knack
For coming back right away

Chorus

Go Shatta Hootie, go! – repeat four times
Shatta Hootie!

Verse Two

He wears his sweater inside out
With Shatta Hootie there’s no doubt
One pant leg stuffed into his sock
That Hootie guy is primed to rock
Just look at the way he swings and sways
His lunch is Coke and Cheery O’s
And gosh, most everybody knows
Shatta Hootie is here to stay!

Repeat chorus, end with a big finish as the star of the show enters the studio from stage left
The Meltdown Song
(tender ballad in the key of A minor)

Verse The Only

Somebody’s gonna have a meltdown
They’re gonna have a meltdown right away
Somebody’s gonna have a great big meltdown
Might even be today, hey
Somebody’s gonna have a meltdown
They’re gonna have a meltdown, wait and see
Somebody’s gonna have a great big meltdown
Might even be me

Tender violins playing the melody adagio with a flourish

Repeat and end with a fading spotlight on the lone vocalist
