you. How about bleeding out on a stretch of
remote highway? Then there’s falling out of
a window onto a spiked fence. Would you prefer
being blown to shreds by a terrorist? Or there’s
always getting tortured to death by a psychopath.

interrupted his friend, “I’ll take all
of the IVs and wires, the humiliating physical
probing, and the constant interruptions by
doctors and nurses . . . Actually, come to think
of it, tell me more about being in the middle of
the ocean with the fin of a shark moving toward
