Logger Rhythm
by Michael Franklin

If ever you're due for some slumber,
Do not go out chopping the lumber.
Cos' tiredness reacts,
Makes a misbehaved axe,
And your limbs may be fewer in number.

Be bright when you handle a chopper,
Or something may become a cropper.
If your task is complete,
But you've one fewer feet,
Once a walker, but now you're a hopper.
