Lucy Poem
(apologies to Wordsworth)
by Andrew Sacks

A slumber did my spirit seal,
I had no jealous strands;
She seemed a thing that could not feel
The touch of others’ hands.

No virtue has she now, she greets
The journeyman and gob;
Roll’d round on soiled designer sheets
With Blake and Bill and Bob.
